Comments: This FA approved Cup competition was organised by Whitby Town. Celtic, Whitby Town, Newcastle United and AZ Alkmaar took part in the innaugural competition.
All games were played at the Turnbull Ground, starting with Newcastle United vs Celtic on Thursday, July 27, before Whitby Town played AZ Alkmaar on Friday, July 28.
AZ Alkmaar beat Whitby Town in the other match.
On the Saturday Whitby and Celtic played in the third-place play-off, before Newcastle played AZ in the final for the specially-commissioned trophy. Newcastle beat AZ 4-2 in the final to win the cup.
