Comments: Quite a scarce programme because of a short print run but is offered on ebay quite often. The programme took us on a trip down memory lane with the use of the 60's/70's football player keyrings for Celtic and Liverpool on the front cover. The design was by Glasgow design company, Graven images. Speaking for the company, graphics designer and Celtic fan Jim Hamilton explained that the idea was to remind the fans of Celtic's history in Europe. The design company was awarded the job as part of an initiative by the Glasgow Development Agency that was to see the covers of the Glasgow derby programmes created by some of the City's top designers.
Most memorable thing about this game was the wonder goal scored by Liverpool's Steve McManaman in the 89th minute to give Liverpool a crucial equaliser and second away goal. A 17 year old Michael Owen scored Liverpool's first goal in the sixth minute to put Liverpool in the lead.
