Kenny Dalglish and Davie Hay debut.
Hay on from the start, Dalglish replaced Charlie Gallagher in the second half. Dalglish did not play for another year but went on to play 354 times for Celtic and scored 199 goals. In season 1972/73 King Kenny scored 41 competative goals for Celtic. Before being transferred to liverpool in 1977 where he became their most successful player, Kenny won 4 League championships, 4 Scottish Cups and 1 League Cup.
